Vidya-Emraan to remain in character for ‘Ghanchakkar’ promos

As filmmakers search for new ways to promote their movies, it looks like Vidya Balan has set a new promo trend. News has it that the actress, along with her co-star Emraan Hashmi, will be donning the same outfits that they wear in their upcoming film ‘Ghanchakkar’, for it’s promos.

“It’s true that Emraan and Vidya��will be in the look of the characters they are essaying in ‘Ghanchakkar’��during promotions,” Times of India��report director Rajkumar Gupta. In the film,��Balan will be seen playing Hashmi’s Punjabi housewife, sporting some very quirky outfits.

Gupta goes on to add, “The film is a quirky one so the promotions need to be quirky too and UTV is the best in the business to pull off such innovative campaigns.”

Balan first got into character for promotions during the release of her hit film ‘Kahaani’ (2012), where she attended promo events as her pregnant character from the film. It seemed to have worked and here’s hoping it works for her new film again.
