Vidya Balan’s next ‘Sherni’ likely to release in theatres this summer

Filming and post-productions for many films have resumed amongst the ‘new normal’. With theatres slowly opening up, some producers have the decision on releasing on streaming platforms or at the movies. Vidya Balan’s next ‘Sherni’ will be a summer release but the platform is yet to be decided.

As according to Mid-Day, producer Vikram Malhotra stated, “While shooting has been completed, post-production work is on in full swing. We are yet to decide on which platform the film will release, but we are targeting a summer release; perhaps in June or July. So far, we plan to release it in theatres, but we will have to see how things pan out. We want the whole world to see it.”

Balan was last seen in the Amazon Prime release ‘Shakuntala Devi’ (2020).
