With 2017 looming close, there’s one actress who already has a lot lined up for the new year. As well as Srijit Mukherji’s ‘Begum Jaan’, Vidya Balan will also be working on ‘Tumhari Sulu’ directed by Suresh Triveni. The actress has gone on record to talk a little about the film and her character.
“I have ‘Begum Jaan’ which is extremely powerful. It let my vent my angst as a woman. In ‘Tumhari Sulu’, I play a radio jockey. The character is different form the morning jockey I played earlier for ‘Lage Raho Muuna Bhai’ (2006). This one is naughty and fun,” Hindustan Times reports Balan expressing.
Balan has played a pivotal part in creating woman-centric films a genre in itself. Talking about actresses sh has been impressed by, Balan explained, “I loved Alia Bhatt in ‘Udta Punjab’ (2016). I didn’t expect to see her in that role. The way she did it – with complete abandon.. you don’t see Alia Bhatt anywhere [in the character]. I think that is admirable and that really surprised me.”
When talking about who she’d like to work with, the actress expressed, “It will be lovely to work with Ranbir Kapoor because I really like him as an actor.”
