Vidya Balan to play Indira Gandhi in biopic?

Vidya Balan, who received much acclaim for her roles in ‘The Dirty Picture’ (2011) and also ‘Kahaani’ (2012), is all set for yet another biopic. It has emerged that the recently married Balan may be playing the role of Indira Gandhi in a forthcoming movie.

Balan has confirmed that she will be doing a biopic but no other details have been confirmed. According to Hindustan Times, she said, “I can�۪t reveal much as I�۪m bound by contract. All I can say is that I�۪m doing one. When the time is right, they (the makers) will make the necessary announcement”.

The actress will also be seen in the sequel of ‘Kahaani’. Talking about the film, Balan commented, “Sujoy (Ghosh, filmmaker) is currently in London. Once he returns, we will iron out the details and begin work on it”.
