Vidya Balan rejects Suchitra Sen biopic

Earlier this year, there was speculation that Vidya Balan would be seen in the biopic of yesteryear actress Suchitra Sen. ��However, Balan has clarified that though she was offered the film, she will not be doing it.

Speaking to��PTI, Balan said,��”I was offered the biopic but I am not doing it. I was surprised that it came out in the media that I agreed to do it and have even started training in Kathak. I would have loved to do it.. loved to play her on-screen… I loved the script but I feel I have absolutely no physical resemblance with her. It is a Bengali film so I feel Raima Sen, her grand daughter, who looks like her, should be doing it.”

Balan went on to add that if the film was being made in Hindi, instead of Bengali, she would have considered it more strongly.

The actress will next be seen in Mohit Suri’s ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’, which releases on 12th June. ��She has also signed a couple of other films and announcements of those are expected soon.
