Back in February BizAsia learned that Vidya Balan had signed to do a biopic on the late great Indian-English writer Kamala Surayya. Well, now preparations are well on the way for Balan to get inside the mind of Surayya to better understand the poetess and her mannerisms.
Balan has been busy reading Surayya’s biopic called ‘My Story’, who made a huge impact during the 1960’s with her Malayalam short stories and poems. Reported in SpotboyE, the film will be directed by the national award-winning Malayalam director Kamal.
Recently Balan took to Twitter and posted a picture of herself engrossed in Surayya’s biopic, with the caption “As I prepare to tell ‘your story’ Kamal Das”.
