Vidya Balan “not aware” of replacing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in ‘Durga Rani Singh’

Speculation surrounding the cast of Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Durga Rani Singh’ has been like no other.

Initially, Vidya Balan was the first pick for the film before she walked out of it. Subsequently, the role was offered to Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kangna Ranaut and more recently Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Then there were reports that Balan had stepped back in the project resulting in the exit of Bachchan from the film.

However, talking to NDTV, Balan was unaware of her replacing Bachchan in the much talked about movie. She said, “Not aware of that.”

Balan spoke at the recently held 17th Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival.
