Vidya Balan finds pregnancy rumours annoying

Being in the public eye isn’t always as glamorous and happy as it often seems, and one actress who has had to deal with its negativity in every kind of way is Vidya Balan. Since the very beginning, the actress has always been targeted from who she dates, to what she wears, and now even after being happily married, she’s having to deal with constant pregnancy rumours. By the sounds of things, it seems this out of everything, is the one thing that is getting to her.

“It was annoying. I could be going to a clinic for an acne too! Why is it that every time a woman, post marriage, visits a doctor, there are whispers of her pregnancy?” Mid-Day reported the actress stating. The response comes in light of her and husband Siddharth Roy Kapur recently being spotted going to the doctor.

“I don’t think it’s anyone’s business except mine and my husband’s. It was a serious invasion on our privacy, but our country is such,” she went on to add,

Having the media and the outside world talk about rumours is one thing, however the actress is also being targeted by her people a lot closer to her. “Neighbours and relatives [constantly] ask us (unnecessary questions). The day I got married, one of my uncles told me at the wedding venue, ‘Next time I see you [her and Siddharth], I should be looking at three people, not two’. This was even before our wedding pictures could be clicked. I politely laughed because we hadn’t even decided on our honeymoon destination then,” She expressed,

Despite the things Balan has had to deal with, it’s fair to say she has come out stronger every time. It’s also fair to say that this is one actress who won’t be pressured into what society dwells on, and if and when the time comes for her family to grow, she will have her own way of expressing it.
