Vidya Balan did not recommend Arjun Rampal?

Arjun Rampal will soon be seen alongside Vidya Balan in the upcoming ‘Kahaani’ sequel. While rumours suggest Balan had recommended Rampal for the project, the actor refutes this.

Rampal told Deccan Chronicle, “The media personnel are the ones who make up stories. I am not here because of Vidya. I was surprised when director Sujoy Ghosh came up to me for this role but after he narrated the story. I was convinced that the role is apt for me. The requirement and suitability of the script brought Sujoy to me, not Vidya.”

‘Kahaani 2’ is slated to release on 2nd December.
