Vidya Balan is one actress who is suited to playing characters which are from a foregone era. However, the actress has recently confirmed that she was approached for a remake of 1983 film ‘Sadma’ but decided against signing it.
“I would not do it (remake a film). I can’t dare to make or do something again. I was offered Sadma remake and I said no to it. As I feel one should not touch a film like Sadma, why tamper with it? These are timeless films. One can reinterpret it but I am not one of those who would go for it,” said Balan, as quoted by Hindustan Times. The actress was speaking at the Jio MAMI Movie Mela in Mumbai.
Balan will be seen on screen next in ‘Tumhari Sulu’ which releases on 17th November.
