Vidhu Vinod Chopra puts pestering reporter in place

Vidhu Vinod Chopra

Being a part of the Indian Film Industry is tough on so many levels, especially when there’s the media trying to get the latest buzz as quick as possible. However there are some reporters who take things too far, probing many celebrities to lose their cool a bit. This is something which filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra recently experienced.

During the trailer launch of the upcoming Farhan Akhtar-Amitabh Bachchan film ‘Wazir’, a certain reporter wouldn’t stop pestering Akhtar about ‘Don 3’.According toDeccan Chronicle, Akhtar explained, “I don۪t even have the script in my mind right now. Neither is today the right time or place to talk about it.”

Even with that information, the reporter continuously asked about the film, asking if he would cast Shah Rukh Khan andPriyanka Chopra. When Akhtar informed the reporter about this not being the right place or the right time to talk about it, Chopra became fed up with the journalist. He turned to him and said, “When you guys ask such irrelevant questions there is only one word that comes from within, shut up۪; but I won۪t say it because you all (the media) will then run only that and the entire effort of showing this trailer will be lost. ‘Wazir’ has taken over 10 years in the making, we have all worked very hard on it and instead of asking relevant questions about the movie, all that you are bothered about is who۪s having an affair with whom or who is going to be in Don 3!”

It’s fair to say that the journalist probably didn’t have anything much to say about ‘Don 3’ since then.

In the meantime, the trailer of ‘Wazir’ has been receiving a great response. With the film also starring John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh, it set for release on 8th January.
