In Video: Sony TV unveils promo of ‘Pehredaar Piya Ki 2’

Sony Entertainment Television’s controversial fiction ‘Pehredaar Piya Ki’ is making a return, just weeks after it was shutdown due to uproar from viewers and the industry.

‘Pehredaar Piya Ki’ has been embroiled in controversy for its storyline involving a ten-year old prince falling in love with a princess twice his age. A petition to pull the show off-air had been submitted to India’s media regulator, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The show was then directed by the BCCC (The Broadcasting Content Complaints Council) to move it out of the primetime slot to a later time.

The channel has today released a teaser promo, which features protagonist Tejasswi Prakash. It is expected to launch post the series end of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ next month.
