There are always reports cropping up about what actors and actresses do to get into the characters of the roles that they’re playing. However, actor Vicky Kaushal took the plunge just for the auditioning stage, when he went up for the lead in Anurag Kashyap’s next titled, ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’.

According toMumbai Mirror, Kashyap was looking for someone who had a very rough look. When Kaushal went for the audition, the filmmaker felt he looked too much of a good boy. “So I locked myself in a room for five days, lived in darkness, without internet, my cell phone or any contact with people. A week later I auditioned again and bagged the role because this time, Anurag saw the fire in my eyes,” the actor explained.

Kaushal will be seen sharing the screen with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Set in the 1960’s, the story revolves around Siddiqui who plays a serial killer on a murderous rampage, with Kaushal playing the police officer who has been signed to solve the case and catch him.

Having finished shooting back in December, the film is set to hit the big screens during the summer.
