Vicky Kaushal on ‘Uri’: “It was physically the most challenging film for me”

Vicky Kaushal’s latest film ‘Uri’ has physically been the toughest experience for him as an actor.

According to Times of India, Kaushal said, “’Uri’ was recently wrapped up. It was physically the most challenging film for me. The time I spent shooting it has been the most grilling time of my life. I spent five months only training for the part and meeting army officers. The shooting was damn difficult. Action scenes were tough because it’s all supposed to be real. It’s the role of a commando and we can’t do anything that looks out of place. We have to show factual details. ‘Uri’ is the story of everything that went on behind the news. It was a huge responsibility and an ambitious project for my producers and me.”

After ‘Uri’, Kaushal is gearing up to shoot Karan Johar’s ‘Takht’. Discussing the project, he shared, “Now, that’s not a film I chose. It’s happening so fast. I am still overwhelmed that Karan even thought of casting me in his own film. Maybe he has more faith in me than I have in myself. This faith turns into confidence when the film wraps up. Takht will roll early next year. There is a lot of prep which will happen in good time.”

‘Uri’ will release on 11th January, 2019.
