Vicky Kaushal joins cast of Sanjay Dutt biopic

Vicky Kaushal, who rose to fame with Neeraj Ghaywan’s ‘Masaan’ (2015), has reportedly secured himself a role in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic, directed by Rajkumar Hirani.

On the occasion of Hirani’s birthday, Maanayata Dutt took to her Instagram account to share a photo of herself, in which she can be seen stood alongside Ranbir Kapoor, who has been confirmed as playing the role of Dutt in the film, Hirani and the ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ (2016) star. The photo did not leave any any room for guessing the reason behind the group’s candid moment with the deliberate caption, ‘#teambiopic’, revealing all.

With this being Kaushal’s first association with a big Bollywood film, a pivotal role could do wonders for the 28-year-old at this stage of  his career.

Kapoor is already said to have started shedding some weight and growing his hair for his portrayal of the young Dutt in the movie.
