‘Vicky Donor’ crew team up again for new film

The runaway success of ‘Vicky Donor’ has impressed and surprised many. In fact, it’s given way to director Shoojit Sircar’s new project which will see debutants Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam come together once again.

Business of Cinema reports that the venture will be, once again, produced by Bollywood hunk John Abraham and will be a romantic comedy titled ‘Hamara Bajaj’. Khurrana confirmed the news, “Yes, Yami and I are getting together again for Shoojit�۪s ‘Hamara Bajaj’. It�۪s again a�� gregarious aggressive North Indian character. But very different from ‘Vicky Donor’. In ‘Hamara Bajaj’ I play a tourist guide in Agra who becomes a big Bollywood star. So there�۪s a very wide arc to my character�۪s graph.” Khurrana went on to reveal that his connection with Gautam has been since she was a teenager.

‘Hamara Bajaj’ is said to take inspiration with Dev Anand’s character in brother Vijay Anand’s film ‘Guide’ (1965). Abraham divulged, “Yes I�۪m producing ‘Hamara Bajaj’. Ayushmann is truly talented. When people ask why and how I�۪m not insecure about new talent I say we need a lot more talent in the industry. I believe in Ayushmann”.

It definitely seems the magic of ‘Vicky Donor’ is indeed trying to be continued with ‘Hamara Bajaj’. It will be one to sit tight for!
