Veteran actor AK Hangal on life support
On 16th August, veteran actor AK Hangal was sadly admitted to hospital after he had a fall and slipped in his bathroom, damaging his thigh bone. His condition is said to have worsened and today, he has been put on life support.
According to India Today, Dr Vinod Khanna, Orthopaedic surgeon, Asha Parekh Hospital, stated, “He is on life support system. One of his lungs is not functioning. He is also having respiratory problems”. Unfortunately��an operation which was essential was unable to be undertaken due to the actor’s weak condition.
The actor is best known for his rendition in films such as ‘Namak Haram’ (1973), ‘Shaukeen’ (1982) and ‘Sholay’ (1975), to name a few.
