Veena Mallik files for divorce 3 years into marriage

Popular actress Veena Mallik has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband of three years, Asad Bashir Khan Khattak.

According to DNA, the couple have decided to part ways because Mallik wanted to return to work but Khattak was against this. He wanted her to look after their two children and it seems they just couldn’t come to a compromise.

The actress’s application from a ‘khula’ divorce has been accepted as Khattak didn’t propose an alternative argument. Mallik will have to return 25% of her dowry money.

Mallik and Khattak are thought to have separated in January, as confirmed by the actress’s counsel, Ali Ahmed.
