Vectone TV channels in revamp mode

Vectone TV has confirmed to Biz Asia that it is currently in the process of revamping the content and formats of all its channels.

The broadcaster has been switching to different programme strategies but a change is set to take place in weeks to come. The new strategy will apply to all seven Vectone channels.

In a surprise move, the channel also said that it will be launching channels for other broadcasters too. “I can confirm that we will be launching third party channels as a service provider since we control all our own infrastructure.” This could turn out to be quite successful for Vectone especially because of Sky’s long delay in handing over new EPG number for forthcoming channels.

Vectone, however, remained tight-lipped as to which “third-party” channel (s) it had been in talks with. No doubt will have more on this story in the next few days, so keep it here.

In other Vectone news, it has been awarded two radio licences. So with the TV side being fully in control, Vectone will soon be branching out to digital radio!
