Varun Sharma: “I was offered daily soaps in the past”

‘Fukrey'(2013) actor Varun Sharma recently revealed that he had been offered daily soaps in the past but had turned all of them down, as they did not appeal to him.

Speaking to TOI, the actor disclosed,��”I was offered daily soaps in the past but that was something I did not want to take up. There were a few reality shows also which were offered but I was not excited and keen on doing that. My focus is more on films today,” said the actor. I have always been wanting to do TV as it is a huge medium and in India, we are making such amazing shows. I am open to doing TV but it will be very selective. I would not be very comfortable doing the regular thing which we see on TV.”

Sharma however said that he is open to doing reality TV shows, and will soon be seen in one too. Named��’Ice Road Truckers – India’s Deadliest Roads’, the show is��the Indian version of a Canadian adventure-reality show, and will see the actor��driving a truck on the rough and tough terrain from Manali to Turtuk, which is one of the gateways to the Siachen Glacier.

The show is not scripted and features celebrities driving a truck on dangerous and deadly roads between Manali to Leh, and also completing the tasks assigned to them.
