Varun Dhawan’s name missing from voters’ register

Varun Dhawan, to his dismay, went to cast his vote for the BMC Elections this morning in Mumbai only to return disappointed because his name was missing from the register. The actor was unable to place his vote.

ANI reports Dhawan expressing his surprise, “Upsetting that I couldn’t find my name on the voters list”.

The actor tweeted about the incident but made a mistake in saying he voted in the Rajya Sabha, later clarifying that he meant the Lok Sabha in 2014 where his name was included.

The actor has said he will be approaching the Election Commission about the issue.
