After claiming success with his debut film, ‘Student of The Year’ (2012) star Varun Dhawan has expressed his interest in different kind of roles he would like to perform in the future.

Having played the rich college buff, Dhawan is now looking to play a darker role, “I want to do a negative character as well. I am attracted towards doing grey shadesbecause it will give me a chance to show their point of view, their side and the psyche of the negative characters,” Times Of India reports the actor stating.

Marking his first appearance at the Filmfare Awards, Dhawan expresses, “This was my first attendance at the Filmfare award function. I’ve never attended any Filmfare ceremony beforebecause my father attends award ceremonies only for 10-15 minutes. Since I was hosting the show and performing as well, I had to force him to attend the function. It feels great and I was quite excited.”
