Varun Dhawan to kick start ‘Coolie No.1’ remake this June?

Varun Dhawan has no intentions of slowing down. With several films already on the go, he will be partnering up with his dad once again for the remake of ‘Coolie No.1’ (1995) along with ‘Biwi No.1’ (1999), which had already been announced.

Reported on Mumbai Mirror, the reprisal of ‘Coolie No.1’ (1995) will have a contemporary take on the original Govinda starrer and is set to go on floors this June.

Dhawan who has a whole host of films releasing over the course of the year, is certainly enjoying the moment. At the start of the year the ‘Judwaa 2’ (2017) actor wrapped up his first period drama in Karan Johar’s ‘Kalank’. Thereafter, more recently Dhawan commenced the Remo D’Souza film ‘ABCD3’ in Amristar, however the actor is currently recovering from injuring his knee he incurred during a sequence.

Then lastly, the ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ (2017) actor will embark on a film with Shashank Khaitan, for a high-octane action thriller. A source reveals, “He is in the process of locking the script and plans to take the film on the floors towards the year-end, perhaps in November.”

Will this be Dhawan’s year of superhits? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
