Varun Dhawan to be directed by brother Rohit in action comedy

Varun Dhawan’s latest offering, ‘Main Tera Hero’ (2014), has pitched him as the perfect comedy hero. The film was directed by his father David Dhawan. BizAsia has now learnt that the actor will be starring in a film next which will his brother Rohit’s script and directorial.

Talking about working with his brother, Varun told Mumbai Mirror, “I’ve always wanted to be directed by Rohit as he is a really good filmmaker.��But he told me that he would only cast me when he has the right script. I think he has finally found one”.

Rohit also excitedly spoke about the forthcoming project, “I’ve been preoccupied with two very different scripts, but that is the fun part of being a writer-filmmaker. I’ve been working on a comedy with a generous dose of action with Varun in mind. Our collaboration will bring something unique to the table”.

Varun is currently shooting for ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ which will see him opposite his first female co-star, Alia Bhatt, once again.
