Varun Dhawan says ‘Shuddhi’ not happening in 2016

Varun Dhawan will be seen next in ‘Dilwale’, directed by Rohit Shetty. However, he was announced to be male lead in Karan Johar’s ‘Shuddhi’. Interestingly, as the rumour mills suggested that the film might be shelved, Dhawan has made a statement suggesting it is definitely facing considerable delay if it will still be made.

According to Hindustan Times, Dhawan revealed, “I don’t know why people assume it’s delayed, but I was never supposed to do Shuddhi this year. Karan will decide when we start shooting for the film. I need to give one whole year to the film and it’s definitely not happening in 2016”.

The film will see him share the screen with Alia Bhatt for the third time.
