Varun Dhawan says he is not “replacing” Salman Khan in ‘Shuddhi’

Varun Dhawan has set the record straight, he is not “replacing” Salman Khan in Karan Johar’s ‘Shuddhi’.

“Never was it said and never have I said that I am replacing Salman bhai,” Varun told IANS.

Talking about bagging the big film, Dhawan said, “‘Shuddhi’ as a film is very special… and is being spoken about before its release and that’s never happened with any film of mine. It’s going to be a mammoth task for me.”

He said doing ‘Shuddhi’ will be a huge responsibility and comparisons with Khan should be avoided. The film also stars Alia Bhatt.
