Varun Dhawan & Sanjay Dutt to join S.S Rajamouli’s next ‘RRR’?


S.S Rajamouli who is working on his next major project ‘RRR’, is rumoured to be looking to add to his cast with Varun Dhawan and Sanjay Dutt as potential names.

Reported by India Today, although there has been no official statement made by the filmmaker on Dhawan and Dutt joining ‘RRR’, the current line-up which already boats of Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Alia Bhatt, are in Pune shooting, with the schedule said to go on for 45 days.

Recently, news of Ajay Devgn joining the team was also revealed. Devgn who has an extended cameo, is set to be playing a vital role in the film, shares a source. Tamil actor Samuthirakani and Daisy Edgar Jones are also a part of the film.

‘RRR’ is a fiction film based on Telugu freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. “This is a fictional story set in 1920s pre-independent era. Most of us are well aware of the stories of Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. We know they are popular freedom fighters and were fearless. What most of us don’t know is that there are gaps in the lives of these revolutionaries that we don’t know about. We don’t know what happened in their lives in these years,” explains Rajamouli.

As with the ‘Bahubaali’ franchise, Rajamouli is expected to go all out with ‘RRR’ with a whopping Rs 400 crore set as the budget. The film is slated to release in 2020.
