Varun Dhawan to play footballer in Shoojit Sircar film?

Varun Dhawan confirmed that he is to be seen next in Shoojit Sircar’s film. Rumour had it that his character would be quite intense. More details have emerged and it seems Dhawan will be playing a footballer.

Deccan Chronicle reports that the film will be based on Dhawan’s character and a life-changing football match. When asked about this, Dhawan wasn’t keen on talking, “You should ask Shoojit about it”.

Sircar told a different story when quizzed, “We are still scripting the film with my writer Juhi Trivedi”.

Sircar is thought to have been keen on having Ranbir Kapoor as protagonist but the dates didn’t work out between them.
