Varun Dhawan picks Raaj Shandilyaa over Sajid Nadiadwala?
As reports of Varun Dhawan signing Raaj Shandilyaa’s film keep rolling in, the latest rumour suggests that he has chosen the comedy over a major action project.
According to Pinkvilla, Dhawan’s decision was between two projects. First was the action film produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Anurag Singh, instead of Rohit Dhawan as previously speculated. The second was Shandilyaa’s comedy, which he may have unofficially confirmed. The subject of the film is still unclear, as some reports claim it is based on Mehmood’s ‘Kunwara Baap’ (1974), while others suggest that the story may revolve around a stand-up comedian.
Dhawan has currently completed shooting for ‘Coolie No. 1’, releasing on 1st May, 2020. He will begin work on ‘Mr. Lele’ soon.
