Health and fitness has taken the Indian film industry by storm, where almost everybody is hitting the gym and bulking up. Be it for a film or their personal health it’s no surprise that some can take things a little too far, which apparently Varun Dhawan is currently doing.
As DNA reports, Dhawan is doing everything he can to look big and bulky for his forthcoming ‘Judwaa’ (1997) sequel. Talking about his strict regime, personal trainer Prashant Sawant expressed, “He’s on a high-protein, low-carb diet and has to eat every three hours. Carbs are allowed only in the afternoon and my wife is ensuring the appropriate meals reach him every three hours. He looked pretty muscular in ‘ABCD 2’ (2015), so the idea is to go one step further.”
The report went on to add that Dhawan is so determined that he even hit the gym straight after getting treatment for an eye injury.
The film will also star Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu, and have Dhawan play a double role. Where one of his characters is rather lean, the other is scripted to be very muscular. Here’s hoping the actor doesn’t take things too far.
