Varun Dhawan: “I always wanted to work with Taapsee”

With ‘Judwaa 2’ set to go on the floors soon, Varun Dhawan has expressed his excitement at working with newcomer Taapsee Pannu, who he stars with in the comedy caper, along with Jacqueline Fernandez.

According to Hindustan Times, the actor spoke at the Star Screen Awards, “I always wanted to work with Taapsee. She has done great work like in Pink. I have worked with Jacqueline Fernandez before and it’s fun to work with her again. I think Judwaa 2 is a big responsibility.”

He also confirmed that he will not be seen in Zoya Akhtar’s film, he said, “No, there is no truth to that.”

He will be seen opposite Alia Bhatt in ‘Badrinath Ki Dhulania’ which is very dear to his heart.  He commented, “The film will release during the festival of Holi in March next year. It’s a special film and I am passionate about it. There is a special message also in the film so it’s important.”

The actor won Best Actor in Comedy Role for ‘Dishoom’ (2016) at the Star Screen Awards, and added, “It’s (best actor comic award) special as my family has been associated with comedy. It’s more special as it’s directed by my brother Rohit. This is the first award show of the season and it feels great.”
