Varun Dhawan hikes price for ‘Sui Dhaaga’?

News broke recently that Varun Dhawan had bagged his maiden Yash Raj Films venture in the form of ‘Sui Dhaaga – Made in India’. Now it’s come to light that he’s hiked his fee for the film too.

Dhawan was last seen on screen in Dharma Productions ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ earlier this year. Comparatively, he’s raised his price for the forthcoming YRF venture and kept to this price especially because Ranbir Kapoor was apparently offered the role initially. When queried, a spokesperson from YRF told Deccan Chronicle, “YRF has a policy that we do not comment about the casting process and the actors who are not finalised for the project”.

The production house spokesperson also stated, ““As a policy YRF doesn’t share any details about our artiste’s remuneration”.

Dhawan will be seen sharing the screen with Anushka Sharma for the first time in the Sharat Katariya directorial.
