Varun Dhawan’s aggressive performance in Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Badlapur’ (2015) won him accolades from both critics and audiences worldwide. If all works out, Dhawan may be seen in another aggressive avatar, but this timeof a gangster, in Ashok Nanda’s next.

Pinkvilla reports that Dhawan has been reportedlyapproached to play Feroz Konkani, the absconding aide of Dawood Ibrahim. Rumors have it that the film will recreate terrifying incidents of the 90’s, including the murder of the late Gulshan Kumar, and 1992 Mumbai riots. A source said, “A trial chase sequence has been filmed in the exact location of Gulshan ji’s murder. The film is a re-enactment of real-life incidents and the location of the Jeeteshwar Mahadev Mandir in Andheri has been used for the scene.”

Meanwhile, Dhawan will be flying to Dubai to shoot for his next, ‘Dishoom’ and if he signson the dotted linefor this untitled project, shooting will start next May.
