Varun Dhawan: ���I had slipped into depression�۝

Actor Varun Dhawan has so-far been known as the chocolate hero among the newer actors of B-town.�� However, Dhawan will next be seen in a very different role in Sriram Raghavan�۪s ��Badlapur�۪.�� The actor says the experience shooting for the film was quite intense and he had slipped into depression at one point.

���It drained me. I had slipped into depression as after a point it no longer felt like I was acting in a film. The experience was that terrifying. Sriram really made me suffer. Even when the camera was off, he was shooting me. It was a reality check of a different kind because till then I had been leading a rather insulated life, both in real life and reel,�۝ the 27-year-old told Mumbai Mirror.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, ��Badlapur�۪ stars Dhawan alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Huma Qureshi and Yami Gautam.�� The film is slated to release 20th February 2015.
