Vaibhavi Merchant hits out at award event for Salman Khan nomination

Choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant has hit out at the Filmfare Awards for nominating Salman Khan under the ‘Best Choreographer’ category for the song ‘Jag Ghoomeya’ in ‘Sultan’ (2016).

Merchant, who was also nominated for in the same category for the ‘Nashe Se Chadh Gayi’ song from ‘Befikre’, said it was unfair Khan was nominated for the hook step of the song.

She tweeted, “Why not nominate me as best actor for Sultan if you cud nominate my dearest Salman for best choreographer Jag ghumeya..@filmfare ”

Recently, the Filmfare Awards was questioned by newcomer Harshvardhan Kapoor, who lost out to Diljit Dosanjh in the ‘Best Newcomer’ category.
