Vaani Kapoor: “I haven’t made it big yet”

It’s been five years since Vaani Kapoor made her debut in Bollywood with ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ (2013), now looking back at her career so far, explains that she still has a long way to go.

Reported on The Indian Express, Kapoor whose last film was ‘Befikre’ (2016) opposite Ranveer Singh, was asked in an interview with IANS about her struggles she has faced in the industry, to which Kapoor said, “I haven’t made it big yet.” Further adding how the hurdles have made her stronger. “You have moments when you sulk, when you crib and cry and feel that, ‘why me and why all these things are happening with me’. We are only human. It’s about facing your fear and not giving up because you are the only person who will support yourself at the end of the day and if you don’t do that then nobody else will.”

Having ventured into South films, Kapoor signed a three-film deal with Yash Raj Films (YRF) the makers of ‘Befikre’ (2016). Talking about her experience working with YRF, Kapoor says she’s fortunate for the opportunities. “I have been fortunate enough to work with them so I would say yes they gave me wonderful opportunities.”

Kapoor continued to add, “You always learn from each and every project that you become part of.”

“Every new project, every new team and everything teaches you with something which you haven’t learned or done before.”

Kapoor will next be seen along with Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff in a Yash Raj Films production, out in 2019.
