UTV/UMP Movies sign satellite deals for new movies

UTV, the parent company of UMP Movies has struck a deal to broadcast the latest Bollywood blockbusters it has produced recently.

According to Times Of India, UMP Movies will telecast ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’, ‘Paan Singh Tomar’ ‘Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya’, ‘Barfi’, ‘Heroine’, ‘Rowdy Rathore’ and ‘Joker’ over a 7 year period after three months of their theatrical release.

The group is currently negotiating yet another deal that will include a new slate of their movies including ‘Race 2’, ‘ABCD’, ‘Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana’ and ‘Ghanchakkar!’.

Incidentally, ZEE Network and Multi Screen Media (Sony TV) had announced some of these titles for their own channels, so it seems these broadcasters have signed syndication deals to share some of the titles.
