UTV-Dharma Productions joint venture to star Sidharth Malhotra

It’s raining film offers for 2012 debutante Sidharth Malhotra. He has just been signed for Ekta Kapoor’s ‘The Villain’ and now news has it that he will also be male lead in Karan Johar’s next, produced in collaboration with UTV.

The film will be directed by Remo D’Souza and will be taking inspiration from Hollywood franchise, ‘The Fast and the Furious’ which began in 2001. The project is currently untitled and a female lead is yet to be confirmed.

This will be the third project Malhotra is doing under the Dharma Productions banner, his second being ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’ opposite Parineeti Chopra.
