Urmila show to replace ‘Amber-Dhara’ on Sony

Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar’s gameshow ‘Waar-Parriwar’ will be replacing the ill fated ‘Amber Dhara’ on Sony Entertainment Television Asia, later this month.

‘Amber Dhara’s last episode will be screened on Thursday 24th April with ‘Waar-Parriwar’ launching the following Monday (Monday 28th April) in a 60-minute slot at 20:00.

‘Waar-Parriwar’ will take ‘Amber Dhara’ and ‘Khwaish’s slots, both of which have proved damp squibs for the channel. Albert Almeida, Executive VP and Business Head of Sony TV, told TellyChakkar, “Waar-Parriwar will be replacing Khwaish and Amber Dhara from 28th of April. It will be a one hour show, which will air from 20:00 to 21:00, from Mondays to Wednesdays.”

When asked which show the channel will air on Thursdays during that time-slot Almeida choose not to divulge any details. He says, “We are still deciding on those lines. We will let you know in a couple of days.”

Earlier today, we reported that Sony TV will also be launching two new dramas on Monday (14th April) – ‘Sujata’ and ‘Waqt Batayega Kaun Apna Kaun Paraya’.
