Urdu1 prepares for Sky launch?

Popular Pakistani entertainment channel, Urdu1 is getting closer to its launch on Sky.

As revealed first on BizAsiaLive.com previously, Urdu1 will be available in the first quarter of 2017. BizAsiaLive.com now understands that the channel will be available in the UK on Sky sometime in March or beginning of April.

Furthermore, BizAsiaLive.com has spotted test labels of an “international” service that have appeared off the Sky EPG. However, it is too early to indicate whether the tests are for Urdu1. Clarity on the label should be made sometime next week.

With a flurry of new channels expected to launch ahead of Sky Asia Pack channels going into the Original pack this summer, Urdu1 seems to want to quickly get into the UK market before it becomes even more clogged up.
