Pakistan’s popular high-quality entertainment channel, Urdu1 has begun EPG testing ahead of its official launch on Sky in March.

BizAsiaLive.com can exclusively reveal that data of the channel appeared earlier today after we had reported the channel was preparing for its launch. The EPG data reflects programmes being aired on the channel including ‘Titi’, ‘Kosem Sultan’, ‘Kala Paisa Piyar’ and ‘Noor’.

Urdu1 is one of Pakistan’s most popular channels, which also owns the rights of ‘Masterchef Pakistan’, ‘The Voice Pakistan’ and a number of other popular franchised series.

Urdu1 has fast become one of Pakistan’s most popular channels since it launched in 2012. In the UK, it will join the big guns, Hum TV, Geo TV and A Plus Europe. The channel is hoping to fill the void after the exit of ARY Digital from the UK market.

Urdu1 is expected to be added to the Sky EPG line-up towards the end of March.
