Universal Music India signs ‘Indian Idol’ winner LV Revanth

LV Revanth was crowned ‘Indian Idol’ as he was voted the winner of the popular reality show. Now, not long since his win, Universal Music India has already signed him.

“Our association with `Idol’ both globally & here has been very successful as we’ve seen the recorded music & the Live acts turn into a sustainable business. The talent has been outstanding this year at Indian Idol & we’re thrilled to have LV Revanth as part of the Universal family”, said R H Chhatrapati, Vice President Universal Music & EMI – South Asia, according to DNA.

Revanth was already a known singer in South cinema but said many a time that the ‘Indian Idol’ platform was his way of dreaming bigger and getting more mainstream.

The show was judged this year by Anu Malik, Sonu Nigam and Farah Khan.
