Union minister open to government protection for Zaira Wasim

Zaira Wasim, who starred in ‘Dangal’ (2016), has been under fire lately and making headline after she met with the Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir. A Union minister has said that if she needs state protection then she will get it.

Union minister Jitendra Singh is quoted by Bollywood Life, “…information we have got from the state government is that they are keeping an eye on the entire episode and whatever necessary step needs to be taken it (state government) will take…and if security is needed, it will provide that security”.

Talking at a function he was attending on Tuesday, Singh further added, “Youngsters in any part of the country, and especially in Jammu and Kashmir who have grown under shadow of terrorism, and if the youngsters express their talent it becomes the duty of the society to encourage and appreciate them”.

Wasim’s ‘Dangal’ co-star Aamir Khan has spoken out in her favour, telling people to “Leave her alone”.
