UMP Stars UK launch date confirmed

It’s official! The Walt Disney Company owned Bollywood entertainment channel is launching on Monday 11th June on Sky Digital.

The broadcaster has confirmed the news to BizAsia that it will launch then, with trade testing beginning next week.

The channel will be available free-to-air and will complement it’s flagship film channel UMP Movies on Sky channel 797.

UMP Movies will concentrate on its films output, whereas UMP Stars�۪ output will mainly consist of showbiz related magazine programmes. The channel is known for programmes hosted by celebrities including ��Live My Life�۪, ��Up Close and Personal With��_�۪ and ��The Club�۪.

UMP Stars marketing will commence at launch and will be handled by World Media Connect who successfully carried out the launch campaign for UMP Movies.
