UMP Movies makes UK launch on Sky Digital

Bollywood film channel, UMP Movies (UTV Motion Pictures Movies) from the UTV Group has made its official launch on the Sky Digital platform today.

UMP Movies will be the UK/Europe brand name for UTV Movies as Irish broadcaster UTV already exists in Europe.

The channel is currently running back-to-back movies commercial-free and without any channel promos. However, this is expected to change later this week.

UMP Movies is also likely to use content from its recently launched Showbiz channel, UTV Stars. The channel will use the tagline ‘Jeeyo Bollywood’ (Live Bollywood).

UMP Movies will showcase its library over 400 titles including ‘Delhi Belly’, ‘Tees Maar Khan’, ‘Guzaarish’, ‘No One Killed Jessica’ amongst a slew of other blockbusters.

UMP Movies is available free-to-air on Sky Digital channel 797 with optional English subtitles (yet to be added).
