UK TV Reach: UMP Movies & Hum TV take No.2 & 3

UMP Movies and Hum TV remained amongst the Top 3 UK Asian television channels after Star Plus, while ARY News stayed above half a million, according to official weekly reach data for week ending Sunday 22nd May 2016.

Star Plus held on to the title as the nation’s favourite Asian TV channel with 916,000 viewers (last week 851,000 viewers), followed by UMP Movies with 612,000 viewers (last week 581,000 viewers) and Hum TV was static with 538,000 viewers (last week 538,000 viewers).

The next tier saw Rishtey attract 514,000 viewers (last week 517,000 viewers), followed by Star Gold with 491,000 viewers (last week 429,000 viewers), &TV with 462,000 viewers (last week 533,000 viewers), Zing with 461,000 viewers (last week 363,000 viewers), Life Ok with 419,000 viewers (last week 366,000 viewers), Colors with 416,000 viewers (last week 441,000 viewers), SAB TV with 386,000 viewers (last week 386,000 viewers) and Prime TV with 349,000 viewers (last week 316,000 viewers).

The bottom tier consisted of Geo TV with 232,000 viewers, followed by Brit Asia TV with 189,000 viewers, PTV Global with 188,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 185,000 viewers, Venus TV with 175,000 viewers, Akaal Channel with 141,000 viewers and Sikh Channel with 138,000 viewers.

ARY News surged passed the 500,000 mark again with 528,000 viewers per week (last week 471,000 viewers), followed by Geo News with 390,000 viewers and Dunya TV with 290,000 viewers. The rest in the pecking order were SAMAA TV with 284,000 viewers, Geo Tez with 264,000 viewers, ABP News with 188,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 171,000 viewers, Aaj Tak with 109,000 viewers, Times Now with 97,000 viewers and News18 with 57,000 viewers.
