UK TV Reach: &TV witnesses significant decline

Popular entertainment channel, &TV has witnessed a significant decline in latest weekly reach data supplied by BARB for week ending Sunday 18th June.

The channel, which once dominated UK ratings, has been down a slippery slope over the past few weeks. While most other channels have also dropped in reach, its &TV that has fallen behind the likes of Sony SAB TV, Colors, Rishtey and even B4U Music for the first time. &TV registered 246,000 viewers during the week in question – down from 384,000 viewers.

Star Plus remained the biggest Asian broadcaster despite losing over 100,000 viewers to 767,000 viewers (last week 870,000 viewers). This was followed by Colors with 371,000 viewers, Sony SAB TV with 356,000 viewers, Star Gold with 352,000 viewers, Hum TV with 346,000 viewers, Geo TV with 345,000 viewers, Rishtey Cineplex with 297,000 viewers, B4U Music with 287,000 viewers, Zing with 272,000 viewers and Life OK with 267,000 viewers.

The next tier consisted of Prime TV with 188,000 viewers, Akaal Channel and PTV Global with 139,000 viewers, ATN Bangla with 98,000 viewers, Star Utsav with 90,000 viewers, Brit Asia TV with 89,000 viewers, Venus TV with 73,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 72,000 viewers, A Plus with 33,000 viewers and See TV with 15,000 viewers.

Geo News was the biggest South Asian news channel with 431,000 viewers, followed by New Vision TV with 318,000 viewers, ABP News with 251,000 viewers and NDTV 24×7 with 238,000 viewers. The next batch consisted of Samaa TV with 192,000 viewers, Dunya News with 183,000 viewers, Aaj Tak with 170,000 viewers, UK 44 with 144,000 viewers, Geo Tez with 49,000 viewers, Times Now with 29,000 viewers and News18 with just 1,000 viewers.
