UK TV Reach: Times Now inches closer to Aaj Tak

India’s leading English news channel, Times Now climbed back up in UK weekly reach ratings, coming inches close to overtaking Aaj Tak and ABP News.

According to official data from BARB for week ending Sunday 28th August, Times Now recorded a weekly reach of 70,000 viewers (last week 17,000 viewers). It was ahead of News18, which raked in 39,000 viewers (last week 28,000 viewers). Times Now was just behind Aaj Tak with 75,000 viewers, ABP News with 83,000 viewers and NDTV 24×7 with 132,000 viewers.

Pakistani news channels stayed in front with ARY News ruling the roost with 406,000 viewers (last week 512,000 viewers), followed by Geo News with 333,000 viewers, SAMAA TV with 318,000 viewers, Dunya TV with 261,000 viewers and Geo Tez with 199,000 viewers.

Star Plus remained the nation’s favourite Asian TV channel with a weekly reach of 938,000 viewers (last week 966,000 viewers), followed by Hum TV with 568,000 viewers (last week 474,000 viewers) and UMP Movies with 540,000 viewers (last week 629,000 viewers). Star Gold was in fourth with 504,000 viewers (last week 441,000 viewers) and &TV in fifth with 500,000 viewers (last week 624,000 viewers).

The next tier consisted of Rishtey with 459,000 viewers, Zing with 457,000 viewers, Life Ok with 431,000 viewers, Colors with 419,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 296,000 viewers and SAB TV with 268,000 viewers.

The bottom tier consisted of Geo TV with 236,000 viewers, Prime TV with 242,000 viewers, PTV Global with 233,000 viewers, ATN Bangla with 137,000 viewers, Brit Asia TV with 105,000 viewers, Akaal Channel with 104,000 viewers, Sikh Channel with 82,000 viewers and Venus TV with 81,000 viewers.
