UK TV Reach: Star Plus stays top; Hum TV at No.2

Star Plus remained the UK’s No.1 Asian TV channel, in terms of weekly reach figures, for week ending Sunday 18th March 2018 from BARB.

Star Plus delivered a reach of 615,000 viewers – down from 619,000 viewers last week, followed by Hum TV with 385,000 viewers, Sony SAB TV with 355,000 viewers, Sony Entertainment Television with 316,000 viewers, &TV with 303,000 viewers and Colors with 302,000 viewers.

The next tier consisted of ZEE TV with 295,000 viewers, Prime TV with 276,000 viewers, Hum Masala with 275,000 viewers, Zing with 261,000 viewers, Star Bharat with 238,000 viewers, Rishtey with 189,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 169,000 viewers, Geo Kahani with 168,000 viewers, NTV Europe with 165,000 viewers, Geo TV with 154,000 viewers, TV99 with 130,000 viewers, Venus TV with 111,000 viewers, ATN Bangla with 102,000 viewers, PTV Global with 93,000 viewers, ZEE Punjabi with 64,000 viewers, ARY Family with 58,000 viewers and Akaal Channel with 57,000 viewers.

Movie genre
Sony MAX took the No.1 position in the Bollywood movie genre. Its reach stood at 458,000 viewers, followed by Star Gold with 450,000 viewers, ZEE Cinema with 393,000 viewers, Rishtey Cineplex with 338,000 viewers and B4U Movies with 252,000 viewers.

Music genre
B4U Music delivered a reach of 201,000 viewers, followed by MTV Beats with 122,000 viewers, Brit Asia TV with 96,000 viewers and Sony Mix with 54,000 viewers.

News genre
New Vision TV was the biggest South Asian news channel with a reach of 222,000 viewers, followed by Geo News with 155,000 viewers, Dunya TV with 131,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 123,000 viewers, Aaj Tak with 122,000 viewers, ABP News with 113,000 viewers, Samaa TV with 87,000 viewers, UK 44 with 77,000 viewers, 92 News with 36,000 viewers, News18 with 27,000 viewers and Times Now with 0.
