UK TV Reach: Star Plus shoots back up

After disappointing weekly reach figures last week, Star Plus recovered lost ground and returned to near-normal weekly reach ratings, according to BARB data for week ending Sunday 2nd July 2017.

Star Plus delivered 878,000 viewers (up from 690,000 viewers). ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ was the biggest show of the week with 163,000 viewers in its Friday night slot. This was followed by Star Gold with 502,000 viewers, Hum TV with 454,000 viewers, Colors with 397,000 viewers, &TV with 347,000 viewers, Sony SAB TV with 343,000 viewers, Rishtey Cineplex with 339,000 viewers, Life OK with 315,000 viewers, B4U Music with 289,000 viewers, Zing with 298,000 viewers, Rishtey with 293,000 viewers and Geo TV with 285,000 viewers.

The bottom tier consisted of Prime TV with 252,000 viewers, followed by PTC Punjabi with 196,000 viewers, Venus TV with 193,000 viewers, Star Utsav with 158,000 viewers, ATN Bangla with 150,000 viewers, PTV Global with 131,000 viewers, Akaal Channel with 104,000 viewers, Brit Asia TV with 89,000 viewers and See TV with 47,000 viewers.

Geo News remained the UK’s top South Asian news channel with 243,000 viewers, closely followed by Geo Tez with 239,000 viewers and New Vision TV with 237,000 viewers. The next batch consisted of NDTV 24×7 with 191,000 viewers, followed by Samaa TV with 175,000 viewers, UK 44 with 166,000 viewers, Dunya News with 159,000 viewers, ABP News with 155,000 viewers, Aaj Tak with 146,000 viewers, Times Now with 46,000 viewers and News18 with 39,000 viewers.
